Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how TravelBoss ("TravelBoss," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website, mobile application, and vendor portal (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here. This policy should be read together with our Terms of Use.

1. Who we are

TravelBoss helps travelers curate and organize trips based on their preferences and connects them with local businesses that match those preferences. Our team is based in Larnaca, Cyprus. For privacy-related questions, contact us at support@btdt.com or through our Contact page.

2. Information we collect

The information we collect depends on how you use the Service:

  • Account and profile information — such as name, email address, password or sign-in credentials, travel preferences, budget ranges, interests, and itinerary content you create.
  • Vendor and business information — if you register as a partner, business name, contact details, listing descriptions, and related materials you submit for review.
  • Usage and device information — such as app and web activity, feature interactions, log data, IP address, browser or device type, and general location derived from IP (not precise GPS unless you enable location features in the app).
  • Communications — messages you send to support and records of our responses.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
  • Personalize recommendations and itineraries based on preferences you set;
  • Review, approve, and display vendor listings submitted through the portal;
  • Analyze aggregated usage to improve features, performance, and reliability;
  • Communicate with you about your account, security, and Service updates;
  • Comply with legal obligations and protect the rights, safety, and integrity of TravelBoss and our users.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal identity, contact details, or private notes with local business partners for their independent marketing.

We may share information in these limited situations:

  • Aggregate insights with partners — broad, statistical trends (for example, interest in family-friendly activities or dining preferences in a region) that do not identify individual travelers.
  • Service providers — trusted companies that help us operate the Service (such as hosting, authentication, analytics, email delivery, and payment processing), subject to contractual obligations to protect your data and use it only for our instructions.
  • Sign-in partners — if you register or sign in with a third-party account (for example, Google or Apple), we receive information according to your settings with that provider; their use of data is governed by their own policies.
  • Legal and safety — when required by law, legal process, or to protect users, partners, or TravelBoss from fraud, abuse, or harm.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.

When you choose to visit a partner's website, call, or booking page from the Service, that interaction is between you and the partner; their privacy practices apply once you leave TravelBoss.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies on our website to remember preferences, keep you signed in, and understand how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may limit some features.

6. Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When data is no longer required, we delete or anonymize it where reasonably possible.

7. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; please use a strong password and notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised (see our Terms of Use for account security expectations).

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can update many preferences and profile details in the app or vendor portal. To exercise other rights, email support@btdt.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

10. International transfers

Your information may be processed in Cyprus and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Those countries may have different data protection laws than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page. Material changes may also be communicated through the Service or by email where appropriate. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.

12. Contact us
